Jennifer Deardorff

Jennifer joined our staff in 2022. She serves as a Ministry Intern while attending seminary at North Park University.   Jennifer is passionate about connecting with people, and helping others radiate God’s love to the world around them.  Jennifer graduated from Kansas State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies, and extensive studies in Music. She worked in foster care and Early Head Start before staying home to raise her four children. During this time, she spent many years volunteering in her children’s schools and other area organizations.  

Music is an integral part of Jen’s life. She is quite passionate about leading people into the presence of God through worship. Jen has led worship and workshops for several KC area churches, women’s events, and groups for 15 years. Jennifer enjoys this “bird’s eye view” of Jesus in our community, while also serving here at COMMUNITY. You can also catch her singing around town with her band, Chasing Grace. 

In her spare time Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, and their 4 children; Haley, Jackson, Claire and CJ and the family’s two dogs Murphy and Moose.   Jennifer loves to travel, listen to music, spend time with friends and connect with people. Jennifer is looking forward to her time with the COMMUNITY family and where God will lead her. If you see Jen at church or around town, please say hi!
